Kissing Booth Fill a large jar with Hershey Kisses and put a stack of paper and pencils to the side. Have the kids guess how many Kisses are in the jar -- whoever comes closest to guessing the number of Kisses in the jar wins the chocolate jackpot.

Squirt Gallery Cover 3 foam bricks with contact paper and tape together in a pyramid shape. Press golf tees into blocks, set ping pong balls on top, and have the kids fire away with water guns.

Pin Drop Write point values on circular pieces of paper and place them under various sized jars on the lawn. Lay a hula hoop around the grouping of jars and have the kids drop clothespins into the jars to win points and tickets.

Ready, Aim, Pie! Fill disposable pie tins with whipped cream and top with a cherry. A brave volunteer takes it in the face with whipped cream and cherries. (We recommend the volunteer sport some heavy-duty rain gear.)

Fortune Teller Make a "crystal ball" by resting a fishbowl in a dog's aluminum water dish. Add a decorative fringe to the dish and fill the bowl with fortune cookies. Reach into the "crystal" fishbowl to get a fortune (cookie). {Love this idea!! So cute!}

Basketball Shooting (draw a line on the driveway, 3 shots per ticket)

Get creative! There are so many things that you can use for prizes and luckily party favors are pretty affordable. There are many places online to find fun party favors that match your theme. Or, try looking at the dollar store for a wide assortment.

Ticket System:

Purchase a roll of tickets to distribute throughout your event for winning prizes and other activities.
Give out fabric bags or large goody bags for your guests to keep their earned tickets in upon arrival. Make sure to write the names of each guest on the bags as they are bound to get mixed up.

Carnival Treats

Carnival food is essentially the "icing on the cake" for your carnival themed party! Instead of a traditional birthday cake, consider offering lots of carnival treats for your guests, instead.

Wheely Delicious!
We promise: This candy-covered Ferris-wheel cake is easy to make and so so fun!!

Ingredients1 box (16 ounces) cake mix

1 cup white-chocolate chips, divided

4 tablespoon butter

1 bag (10 ounces) marshmallows

Orange and red paste food coloring

7 cups rice cereal

1 package (12.4 ounces) Twizzler Rainbow Twists

2 boxes (7 ounces each) Runts

1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting

2 large red gumdrops

1 bag mini lollipops

Blue paper cupcake liners

4 wooden skewers

Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 1-1/2-quart ovenproof Pyrex bowl. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter into prepared bowl and smooth top. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool 15 minutes in bowl, then invert onto a wire rack and allow to cool completely. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup white-chocolate chips until smooth.
2. Line the bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan with wax paper. Grease sides well and set aside. Combine butter and marshmallows in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Tint mixture bright orange with food coloring. Stir in rice cereal and melted white chocolate until well blended. Spoon mixture into prepared pan and press it down evenly. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
3. Remove cereal treat from cake pan. Cut Twizzlers into twelve 4-1/2-inch pieces. Microwave remaining white-chocolate chips until smooth, about 1 minute; spoon melted chocolate into a small resealable bag. Snip a small piece from corner of bag and pipe lines of chocolate to attach Twizzler pieces as shown. Then pipe white-chocolate dots near the edge and attach Runts in a decorative pattern. Refrigerate until candies are set, about 5 minutes. Carefully flip cereal treat and repeat on other side (reheat chocolate if necessary). Attach a gumdrop to the center of each side of cereal treat with chocolate.
4. Tint vanilla frosting red with food coloring. Place cake, rounded side up, on a serving platter. Cut a 2-inch-wide by 3-inch-long by 1-inch-deep notch from top of cake to rest wheel in. Ice cake with red frosting and arrange orange and green Runts around base.
5. Insert about 5 lollipops through each cupcake liner, using the sticks to attach liners to cereal treat.
6. Insert skewers about a half-inch apart into bottom edge of cereal treat, leaving 3 inches showing. Stand wheel and insert skewers into notch of frosted cake; press to secure.

Moontastic Bouncers Helping to Fight Cancer

On March 13th we were excited to participate in the St. Baldricks 5th Annual Fundraiser on Lockport Street in Plainfield, IL, hosted by Finnigan's Irish Pub {one of our favorite restaurants in town}. They had raised over $115k to aid in the research to find cures for childhood cancer and give survivors long and healthy lives. We had two bouncers there, and everyone had a blast. We couldn't be more excited at the turnout of people at the event, and money raised for such a good cause.

FAVORITE HALLOWEEN PARTY GAMES & ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS

Include a few of these Halloween party games when hosting a party at home or in the classroom. We've provided both active and quiet games to settle over excited goblins down before heading home.

How Many ?
Fill a jar with candy corn and have each guest write down their best guess as to how many candies are in the jar. This is a good game to play at the beginning of the party, as guests filter in. Announce the winner at the end of the party--They win the jar! Try candy bars instead of candy corn - much tastier!

Pumpkin Pass Along
Before the party, make some jack-o-lanterns using orange rubber balls (about the size of oranges)
and a permanent marker. You’ll need one for each team. Divide the players into teams. To start the game, place the “jack-o-lantern” under the chin of the first player. That player passes the “jack-o-lantern” to the next player without using hands and then to the next player and so on. The first team to pass the pumpkin all of the way through the line wins. You can also play this game by passing the Pumpkin from player to player using hands behind the back which isn’t quite as fun but also does not require the players to get so “personal “.

Mummy Wrap Relay
Divide the players into groups. I find groups of three or four work best. Each group needs a player that is the “mummy” and the other players are the “wrappers” Provide each group with a roll of toilet paper. The object of the game is to be the first group to wrap a mummy using the entire roll f tissue.

Trick or Treat
Before the party cut several strips of paper; about twice as many strips as there are children.Then on half of the strips write the word “treat”. On the other half write “trick” with a trick such as “hop on one foot”, “pat your head and rub your belly”. Then place all of the strips in a Halloween bag. Have the children form a circle. Walk around the circle. Each player will draw a paper out of the bag and perform a trick or receive a treat such as a sticker, Halloween pencil or small piece of candy.

Quick Recall
Place theme related items on a tray. Show the tray to the guests for a
few seconds. Players write down or call out as many items as they can remember. Play this same game with a twist--Take an item away -can they recall what's missing?

How Many Words...
can you make from SCARECROW or JACK-O-LANTERN. For older kids only. Use a write-on wipe-off board for group play or distribute paper and pencils.

The Great Popcorn Challenge
Set out bowls full of popcorn at one end of the room, empty bowls at another. Teams must transport the popcorn from the full bowl to empty, using a measuring cup. Note: popcorn is a choking hazard for children under three.

Cotton-ball Scoop

Fill large mixing bowls with cotton balls and give each guest a spoon. Kids must scoop out as many cotton balls as possible in one minute - without using fingers!

Pin The Nose...
on the Jack-o-Lantern, Stem-on-the-Apple, Hat-on-the-Scarecrow, or a variation best suits your party theme.

Halloween Parade
Let the kids show off their Halloween finery with a game of follow the leader while having a parade.

Bobbing for Apples and Doughnut String Game
These two traditional Halloween party games have stood the test of time!

Fill a large tub with water and several apples. The players must try to bite" into and "catch" and apple while holding their hands behind their backs. Don't forget to have some towels handy.

Using string, hang mini or regular doughnuts from the ceiling or a tree. The object of the game is to be the first to eat the doughnut with out using your hands! Do not use powdered or cinnamon doughnuts. Plain is the safest!

HALLOWEEN PARTY CRAFT IDEAS FOR KIDS

If your hosting several children such as a classroom or scout troop, consider purchasing a prepared craft kit. The children will have just as much fun but it will keep the chaos down to a minimum.

Mask Making
Use paper plates a hole punch and scissors to cut a mask. Decorate with glitter glue, gel pens, markers, glue, odds and ends of fabric, feathers etc....

Silly Hats
Pick up old hats from a thrift store. Decorate with glue, ribbon, glitter etc.

Play Dough
Make a batch of orange play dough. Set it out on a table with Halloween cookie cutters and wooden dowel pieces for rolling.

HALLOWEEN TREATS & RECIPES
FOR YOUR PARTY

Monster Hands
You'll need: Clear disposable plastic gloves, popped popcorn, red or green small gum drops and spider rings (optional). Place a gumdrop into each finger of the glove (these are the fingernails) fill the glove with pop corn. Tie off the end with rubber band or ribbons. Add a spider ring for fun.

Halloween Party Favors
Party guests will receive plenty of sweet treats on this special day. Parents will appreciate a fun-filled goody bag that is sugar free.

To make your own...
Decorate brown lunch bags with a pumpkin paint stamp (craft store) and write the children's names with an orange or black gel pen. Fill the bag with small toys, bubbles, coloring book, glow sticks, stickers, homemade orange play dough, etc. Gather the top of the bag and tie with green ribbon or raffia.

Halloween Party Tips

Simple or elaborate, which ever decorating style you choose needs to fit into your schedule, party space and the age of the kids. The success of your party will be the fun activities, so don't let this be a sources of stress. Older kids may enjoy a spooky motif with Halloween props; cobwebs, gravestones, spiders an such. When hosting younger children, keep your decorations simple with a black and orange color scheme, balloons, streamers and cute Halloween images.

Cover your table with a Halloween table cloth, fabric or even a white sheet. Create your own festive table centerpiece by tying a bouquet of Halloween balloons to a pumpkin. Group a few more smaller pumpkins in various sizes around the larger pumpkin. We always group items in three's. Add color by scattering candy corn down the center of the table. Provide small pumpkin treat holders or pumpkin cookies with the guests names at each place setting.

If your tired of the same old black and orange colors...try adding purple, orange, green and yellow. Your local fabric store will have Halloween fabric deeply discounted at this time. Pick up several yards in a variety of patterns to use a table runner, to drape on chairs, or cover your door and possibly furniture. It really sets the stage for a fun party!
